A passionate student immersed in music, I spent my highschool weekends at Toronto's iconic Opera House and Big Bop working for a local concert operator. While obtaining a degree in Radio & Television Arts ('07) from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), I worked for Sony BMG Music Canada and Red Ink Music in their A&R and Marketing departments. There I worked with digital and administrative assets for their artist roster and properties such as Canadian Idol.
Starting out my career as a freelancer, I began to mix with other kinds of artists: filmmakers. Commissioned for post-sound work on a variety of projects and mediums I had the opportunity to design and mix sound for Secret Location's interactive launch film, engineer for Moneen's JUNO nominated Live DVD, provide music supervision for feature film, and sound design and mixing on independent films.
In 2010 Six Shooter Records commissioned me as an independent contractor to provide asset development and consulting for their publicists, marketing, and operations staff. To this day I regularly provide them with digital, interactive content and consulting on technical development and support. I'm pleased to have worked with them for over a decade and has lead me to provide services with other industry leaders like Paper Bag Records, Peermusic, Aakuluk Music, and more recently with the explosively growing We Are Busy Bodies.
As a local musician performing in the GTA for years, I broadened my reach and embarked on two European tours in support of my recordings. My experience booking and performing in a half dozen countries across Europe and The UK has provided me with a unique perspective to artistry outside the studio and production facilities. It also provided me with a wider scope of the assets required for tour support.
Durham College's School of Media Art and Design hired me to share my experience by teaching courses in Social Media and Web Design. I continued my post secondary work with an advisory role at Toronto Metropolitan University's (formerly Ryerson) Professional Communications program as Technology Advisor providing workshops and support to bachelors and masters students on utilizing production software and hardware tools.
With the growing popularity of podcasting I teamed up with the talented producers from Antica Productions. I was privileged to edit, mix, and master a dozen episodes of The Munk Debates Podcast and The Munk Dialogues and edit the Agha Khan Museum's This Being Human.
In 2019 I began consulting and preparing art for Toronto label We Are Busy Bodies. With original releases and vintage reissues, I oversaw a majority of the label's recent vinyl releases including records from Limblifter, Wide Mouth Mason, and vintage icons such as Tom Dissevelt, Barney Wilen, Nucleus, Eboni Band, The Drive, and many more. In 2022 I became Creative Director for the label and continue to offer consulting and development services to other select clients.
